Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has called for constant updating of digital capabilities and integrating them into one's systemic functioning, as the pace of emerging cyber crimes has become proportionate to the pace of technological change.
Mr Khan was inaugurating the 16th edition of COCON, the annual two-day Hacking and Cyber Security Conference hosted by the Kerala Police in Kochi today.
Noting that children are the key users of digital technologies and vulnerable to cyber abuse, he said educating them about the dangers of cyber crimes, encouraging open communication in families, and training them to protect personal information are very important.
He urged cyber experts to deliberate on the issues faced by elderly people, who lose their money through online fraud.
A demonstration by jet suit pilot Paul Robert Jones, who flew some distance up in the sky wearing a gravity suit, was held as part of the meet. This was his 527th flight.
