In Kerala, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has laid the foundation stone for the township aimed at rehabilitating survivors of the Wayanad landslide. Speaking at the event, the Chief Minister emphasized that the unity of the people is the strength of the state during such challenging times. The Chief Minister also launched a portal for the public to access full details of the project and for citizens to participate. The township will be built on 64 hectares of land, with houses being constructed on 7-cent plots, each covering an area of 1,000 square feet. The township will include essential facilities such as a health center,a  modern anganwadi, public institutions, commercial spaces, and a community center.
