Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has lauded the efforts of the union government in coordinating with the Kuwaiti authorities and ensuring the swift repatriation of the mortal remains of those killed in the fire mishap in that country.
Speaking to media persons at the Cochin International Airport, the Chief Minister said the union government effectively intervened and coordinated with the Kuwaiti authorities during the worst crisis faced by Indians working abroad. He expressed hope that the Kuwaiti government will take steps to provide compensation to the victims’s families, for which the Centre should expedite steps.
