In Kerala, a 23-year-old man surrendered to the Venjaramoodu police in Thiruvananthapuram, confessing to the brutal killings of five family members. The suspect, identified as Affan, is currently in police custody. He claimed to have hacked six people across three houses, including his mother. Five of the victims succumbed to the attack, while his mother remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment at a private hospital in the state capital.

The brutal crime is believed to have been committed last evening. Police are investigating the claims and collecting further evidence.
