Kaski District Court extends detention of Rabi Lamichhane for 7 days

The Kaski District Court has allowed Rabi Lamichhane, the president of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party and former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal, to be detained for another seven days for investigation. He was arrested on charges of misappropriation of the cooperative’s savings.

 

Suraj Adhikari, Information Officer of District Court Kaski, informed that the bench of judge of District Court, Chandrakant Paudel, has allowed the police to keep President Lamichhane in police custody for seven more days to investigate.

 

Lamichhane was arrested on October 18 for the investigation. Similarly, former Deputy Inspector General Chabilal Joshi, who was arrested in the same case has also been detained for another seven days.
