Karnataka: Priyanka Gandhi addresses public rally in Chitradurga

The Congress national General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi raised the issue of unemployment and price rise during a public rally in Chitradurga in Karnataka today. She said the people are feeling the hardship due to expensive gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, gold and silver. She also accused the Central Government of waiving off the loans of the capitalists but not of farmers. She also charged that the Central Government is not releasing funds to the states ruled by the Opposition parties and has arrested the Chief Ministers of Delhi and Jharkhand. She blamed BJP for polarisation and scams due to the electoral bond.

On the other hand, the BJP Karnataka President B Y Vijendra has criticised the Congress-led state Government in Karnataka for its failure to safeguard women. He was speaking after meeting the family of Neha Hiremath, the college-going girl who was killed by stabbing in Hubballi College a few days back. He demanded that the murder case should be handed over to the CBI for a free and fair investigation.
