Karnataka BJP President BY Vijendra has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over alleged Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam. Addressing media persons in Bengaluru on Wednesday, he said that a protest will be held in Mysuru on July 12 by the party leaders and cadres demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister and handing over the probe to CBI. Releasing documents on the MUDA land allocation to the wife of Chief Minister, B Y Vijendra explained that MUDA floated its rules by allocating 14 housing plots to the Chief Minister’s wife. He said that MUDA should have allocated just two plots of 40 by 60 feet size as a compensation for the denotified land measuring 3.16 acres owned by the Chief Minister’s wife. He alleged that the land Siddaramaiah’s wife lost to the denotification was valued much lesser than the 14 plots they got in prime location in Mysuru. Vijendra said that Siddaramaiah has also violated the Election rules by not making a mention of this land owned by his family in the affidavit.
