K Sanjay Murthy has taken oath as the Comptroller and Auditor General of India in New Delhi this morning. President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to him at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He replaced Girish Chandra Murmu, who was appointed as the CAG in August 2020.

Earlier, Mr Murthy served as the Secretary of Department of Higher Education in the Education Ministry.
