K Sanjay Murthy has been appointed as the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. Mr. Murthy is currently serving as the Secretary of the Department of Higher Education in the Education Ministry. He will replace Girish Chandra Murmu, who was appointed as the CAG in August 2020.
