Justice Bansi Lal Bhat visits LoC areas in Kargil, engages with residents and local representatives

In Ladakh, Justice Bansi Lal Bhat, Chairman of the Reservation Commission for Actual Line of Control (ALC) Ladakh and former Judge of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, visited various areas near the Line of Control (LoC) in Kargil. His visit included the Sub-Division Drass, Mushkoo Valley, Latoo, and villages like Karkit, Latoo, and Kaksar. He also met with residents and local representatives in Kargil Town.

 

During his visit, Justice Bansi Lal Bhat interacted with villagers, stakeholders, and senior citizens, focusing on identifying the basic needs of those living in close proximity to the Line of Actual Control (LAC). He stressed the importance of ensuring that all residents, particularly those from marginalized communities, have access to justice and development opportunities.

 

Justice Bansi Lal Bhat highlighted the crucial role of the Indian Constitution in shaping the country as a welfare state, particularly through its reservation policies, which aim to promote social justice and inclusivity. He emphasized that no one should be left behind in the region’s development and assured the residents that their concerns would be addressed.

 

Justice Bansi Lal Bhat was accompanied by key officials including Additional Secretary to ALC Commission, Tsering Mutup; ACR Kargil, Mohammad Sharif; and several local Councillors during his visit.
