J&K: Udhampur Railway station formally named after son of soil, Martyr Capt. Tushar Mahajan

In the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Udhampur Railway station was today formally named after the son of soil, Martyr Capt. Tushar Mahajan. In this connection, a function was organized at Udhampur Railway Station where in the presence of Union Minister Dr. Jitender Singh Udhampur Railway Station was renamed as "Captain Tushar Mahajan Railway Station". 

Martyr’s parents, many dignitaries of the District, Army Officials, and BJP workers were also present on the occasion. Dr. Jitender Singh said that it was the demand of the Udhampur public for the last several years which has been fulfilled by the Modi Government.
 
Captain Mahajan, from Udhampur, was an officer of the 9 PARA (Special Forces of the Indian Army) who laid down his life while defending the country during the February 2016 terror attack on the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute building in South Kashmir's Pulwama district.
