J&K: Two terrorists killed in encounter in Narla area of Rajouri

In Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists were killed by security forces during an encounter that began in the Narla area of frontier district Rajouri on Tuesday (12th September 2023).
Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the army and police tracked the movement of two terrorists in the area since the 7th of September. Troops cordoned the terrorists and heavy firefight ensued on the 12th of September wherein one terrorist was killed on the same night.

Despite bad weather and hostile terrain, the second terrorist was pursued and neutralised on Wednesday (13th September 2023) after heavy firing throughout the night. However, one soldier of 63 Rashtriya Rifles has made the supreme sacrifice and three soldiers have been injured, along with an SPO.
 A six-year-old Army dog (female labrador) also laid down her life shielding her handler during the encounter. The security forces have recovered large quantity of warlike stores, including medicines, with Pakistan markings during a search operation amid the encounter that continued on Wednesday (13 September 2023) evening.
