 J&K transformed during the last decade says Home Minister Amit Shah

 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah interacted with the youth and children from Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi under the Youth Exchange Programme – Watan Ko Jano. A total of 250 children who are on a visit to New Delhi participated in the programme. Interacting with the children, Mr Shah said that in the last ten years under the Narendra Modi government, Jammu and Kashmir has been transformed. He said unprecedented work has been done in developing infrastructure, such as enhancing roads, railways, and airports. He informed that new universities, IIMs, and AIIMS have been opened in Jammu and Kashmir. The Minister said that by abrogating Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the Modi government has united the whole country and now the citizens of Kashmir have the same rights over the country as the citizens of any other state. He said, peace is most important for everyone and, under the  Modi government, peace and development have come to Jammu and Kashmir. He mentioned that in the last 10 years, stone pelting, bomb blasts and terrorism have ended in Jammu and Kashmir and development has gained new momentum in the region. Union Home Minister said that it is our goal to make Jammu and Kashmir a place where not a single person dies due to terrorism. He said that the responsibility of creating such a Jammu and Kashmir lies with the children and youth . Union Home Minister also appealed to the children to go back to their villages and talk to their parents, siblings, friends, relatives, and people in their village about peace, harmony, and development. He said that this country belongs to everyone, and it is important to instil this belief in the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
