J&K: Special Investigation Unit of Kishtwar Police conducts raids at houses of suspected terrorists operating from Pakistan

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Kishtwar Police today conducted raids at the houses of suspected terrorists operating from Pakistan in the Kishtwar district. The raids were conducted in Rahalthal Village in Chhatroo Tehsil of Kishtwar district.

The raids are carried out in accordance with the directive of the Special NIA Court of Jammu against Kishtwar-based terrorists who have been operating from Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

The searches that are being carried out are aimed at wiping out the terror ecosystem by identifying the overground network of terrorists. The special NIA court in Jammu had on April 26 issued non-bailable warrants against 23 terrorists from Kishtwar operating from across the border.

Earlier, non-bailable warrants were issued against 13 terrorists in the district. The 36 individuals from Kishtwar went to Pakistan after joining the terror ranks over a period of time.

Subsequently, two FIRs were registered against them after their involvement in terror activities surfaced during investigations.

Earlier on July 5, the SIU carried raids at six locations in the district and digital evidence along with hard copy of documents were thoroughly analysed.
