Jammu and Kashmir has recorded a voter turnout of 57.31 percent in the second phase of the assembly election. According to the Election Commission, 58.35 percent of males and 56.22 percent of females have cast their votes in the 26 assembly constituencies spread across six districts. As per the Election Commission data, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi assembly constituency recorded the highest voter turnout with 80.45 percent, followed by Surankote at 74.94 percent and Poonch Haveli at 74.56 percent. Voting for 40 seats in the third and final phase will be held on 1st October, while the counting of votes will take place on 8th October.
