In Jammu and Kashmir, a Pakistani intruder was shot dead by the alert Border Security Force personnel along the International Border in the Samba district of Jammu on 25th July 2023.
 
Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that alert border guards picked up suspicious movement near the S.M. Pura post in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district late Monday night and opened fire when the suspected intruder paid no heed to the repeated warnings.
 
One person was hit and died on the spot in the firing and the search of the area was underway. However, four packets of suspected Narcotics (weighing approx 4 kgs) were found along with the body of the Pak smuggler. Further search of the area is under progress and more details are awaited.
