J&K: Over 12,400 pilgrims pay obeisance at holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnathji amid tight security cover

In the Kashmir Valley, over 12,400 pilgrims drawn from different parts of country today paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnathji on the south Kashmir Himalayas amid tight security cover. The Yatra is gaining momentum with each passing day while more and more number of Yatris are entering the Kashmir Valley to undertake the sacred pilgrimage of Lord Shiva.
 
With this, the total number of pilgrims who performed the darshan of naturally formed Ice Lingam of Lord Shiva in the holy cave of Swami Amarnath Ji by this evening on the second day of the auspicious month of Shravan since the commencement of the Yatra on July 1 has crossed sixty-one thousand and six hundred Yatra mark.
 
The devotees chanting Bhum Bhum Bholey were seen very delighted and expressed satisfaction over the elaborate arrangements made by the Union Territory administration along both the Yatra routes.
 
The weather along Pahalgam-Nuwan route in Anantnag district and Baltal in Ganderbal district towards the holy cave was quite pleasant today and the Yatra passed smoothly via both the Yatra tracks.
