In Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Tribal Affairs, Javed Rana today directed for regular reviews by senior officers to enable expeditious completion of all development projects meant for the welfare of tribal communities in the Union Territory. Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that Mr Rana reviewed the measures being implemented by the Tribal Affairs Department and divisional administration Jammu to remove bottlenecks hampering the timely completion of Tribal Bhawan at Nagrota and Eklavya Model Residential Schools in Jammu division. The Minister said the government is ensuring the efficient implementation of various schemes and policies aimed at ensuring the socio-economic empowerment of tribal communities. He asked the Secretary of Tribal Affairs to chalk out strategies for awareness of tribal communities regarding various schemes meant for their development.
