In Jammu and Kashmir, the government today informed the house that the Kot-Bhalwal village site in the Jammu North constituency is being developed into a scientific solid waste management plant through NAFED for scientific processing of waste. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the Minister for Health, Sakeena Itoo, who was replying on behalf of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said this in reply to a question raised by Sham Lal Sharma. The minister further said that the government is keen to resolve the issues of solid waste, and steps are being taken to address them, particularly in urban areas.
