In Jammu and Kashmir, an encounter has started between terrorists and security forces in Thanna Mandi Sub division of Rajouri district today. Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that an exchange of fire took place between militants and security forces in the Manihal Gali area of the Thanna Madi subdivision of Rajouri district in the evening today.

Based on specific intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area, a joint search operation was launched by security forces in the Manihal Gali area of Thanna Mandi in Rajouri district. During the search operation, as the troops inched closer to the suspected spot, they came under heavy fire, which was retaliated effectively. The area has been cordoned off, and additional reinforcements have been called in to ensure terrorists don’t flee. As per reports, two to three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the area.
