J&K Director General of Police (DGP) R R Swain today said that steps are being taken to ensure a safe and secure environment for all during the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the Union Territory. He said that the security forces are working round the clock to ensure safety of all the stakeholders. DGP further said that the process of elections has started adding that Police and Security Forces are taking steps to ensure a safe and secure environment. DGP RR Swain was talking to media after attending the 30th Batch of Basic Recruitment Training Course (BRTC) 2nd Women Battalion passing out parade held at SPS Police Training school Kathua today.

As many as 922 women recruits drawn from J&K  passed out today after undergoing ten months of training.
