In Jammu and Kashmir, in a run-up to forthcoming Panchayat and Local Bodies elections expected to be held in October-November this year and the Lok Sabha elections next year, the Bharatiya Janata Party is holding a two-day workshop of PRIs at Patnitop in Udhampur district from 5th Aug 2023. The workshop will also include Block Development Council (BDC) and District Development Council (DDC) members. 

Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh will inaugurate the workshop in the evening 5th Aug 2023 and it will be addressed by the Party’s Co-Convener, J&K Ashish Sood, and senior party leaders from J&K on the 6th of August. The workshop will be followed by one day workshop of DDC chairpersons from Northern India at Haryana on the 6th of August.
