In Jammu and Kashmir, the historic three-day Baisakhi Devika Mela, which commenced on April 13 on the banks of the holy Devika Rivulet in Udhampur, concluded yesterday amidst immense enthusiasm and devotion. Our Correspondent reports that the event witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 60 thousand visitors and devotees from various parts of Jammu Province. The three-day mela was organised by the district administration and featured a number of temporary sweet shops, toy shops and other eateries by both locals and outside vendors, attracting the general public visiting the mela site. On the concluding day, Member Legislative Assembly Udhampur West Pawan Kumar Gupta graced the occasion as the chief guest. He lauded the tireless efforts of the District Administration for the smooth and successful organisation of the grand event.
