In Jammu & Kashmir, the Army has launched a recruitment drive that is aimed at providing opportunities for young men from all districts in the Kashmir Region to join the Territorial Army. This drive was started in the Baramulla, Kupwara and Srinagar districts on the 8th of this month.  The recruitment process also covers aspirants from all districts in Jammu Region.

An Army official told AIR that Baramulla town witnessed an extraordinary turnout as a large number of young candidates arrived for an Army recruitment rally being conducted at Ganthmulla today.

The drive will continue till the 17th of this month.
