J&K: ADGP reviews security arrangements for Independence Day

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Additional Director General of Police Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh today convened a meeting with the officers of the Army, BSF, CAPF, Intelligence agencies, Police, Security wing, and Civil administration in the run-up to Independence Day and discuss the Police and Security arrangements.
 
Akashvani Correspondent reports that a detailed briefing was given by SSP Jammu and SSP Security regarding the proposed deployment by District Police and Security wing at and around the Independence Day venue in Jammu district. A threadbare discussion was also held on each and every input shared by the intelligence agencies, Army, CRPF, BSF, and CID. The ADGP stressed anti-drone measures, border deployment grid, security of Police and Army establishments, and launching of offensive operations, especially in the Rajouri-Poonch and Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range besides preventive measures in other districts. While maintaining a high level of alertness for the 15th of August, he stressed that we should also ensure the peaceful conduct of the ongoing Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra. He also stressed implementing the “Meri Maati Mera Desh programme and suggested organizing Tiranga Rallies at important locations in the district Headquarters Sub-Division level, and Police station level with the participation of Civil administration involving students of colleges and schools.
