In Jammu and Kashmir, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu zone, Anand Jain, on Monday reviewed the security situation in the frontier district of Poonch. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the ADGP directed security forces to strengthen the intelligence network in the district.

During the visit, the ADGP reviewed the security situation and assessed the operational preparedness of the forces. He interacted with officers and personnel of the police, including those from the Special Operations Group (SoG).

The ADGP was briefed on the status of training programs, operational readiness, the overall security scenario, and the measures in place to enhance the security apparatus in the region. He also addressed issues related to equipment, infrastructure, and welfare, ensuring that all units are well-equipped to handle any challenges in the line of duty.

Emphasizing the importance of coordination, the ADGP instructed officers to strengthen the intelligence network and work in a synergized manner to counter any potential threats. He also encouraged officers to focus on gathering robust electronic and circumstantial evidence to secure convictions, expedite case disposals, and reduce case backlogs.
