J&K: 52-day-long annual pilgrimage to the holy cave of Shri Amaranth Ji is going on smoothly

In Jammu and Kashmir, the 52-day-long annual pilgrimage to the holy cave of Shri Amaranth ji is going on smoothly. The yatra will come to an end on the auspicious occasion of Shravan Purnima on August 19. Authorities have made elaborate security arrangements for ensuring the safe conduct of this year’s Shri Amaranth ji Yatra. The total number of pilgrims who have paid obeisance to the naturally formed ice Shivlingam in the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji in the south Kashmir Himalayas in the first four days of the annual pilgrimage has reached 74,696. Today, amid heightened security cover, another batch of 5,725 pilgrims embarked on their onward journey to Shri Amarnath Ji cave in a cavalcade of 238 vehicles. Meanwhile, with each passing day, the rush of pilgrims reaching Jammu and Kashmir from other parts of the country is showing an increasing trend, and thousands of pilgrims are camping at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas, Saraswati Dham, and other lodgements in the city of temples in Jammu.
