Union Minister of Coal Prahlad Joshi was on a one-day visit to BCCL and other Coal India subsidiaries in the Dhanbad district of Jharkhand. During his visit, he instructed the officials of Coal India Limited and BCCL in the review meeting to prepare detailed plans for restoring the trust of people back in the company. Mr Joshi said that land acquisition and rehabilitation of relocated people must be ensured at the earliest. The minister also said that the production of Coking Coal from the Jharia plant after putting off the fire is commendable.
