Jharkhand: Campaigning for first phase of assembly elections will end today

In Jharkhand, campaigning for the first phase of assembly elections will end this evening. Polling in this phase will be held on the 13th of this month in 43 constituencies. Akashvani correspondent reports that star campaigners of both the NDA and INDIA bloc are making last-ditch efforts to woo the voters in favour of their party candidates. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address BJP party workers of Jharkhand at 12.30 pm. in the Mera booth Sabse Majboot programme through video conferencing.
 
 
Senior BJP leader Amit Shah will hold a rally in support of former Chief Minister Champai Soren at the football ground in Adityapur under Saraikela constituency. Congress President Malikarjun Kharge will hold two election rallies at Panki and Chhatarpur assembly constituencies. Senior JMM leader and Chief Minister Hemant Soren will address election meetings at four places in the Hussainabad, Saraikela, Ichagarh and Silli assembly constituencies. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address a series of meetings at Bhawanathpur, Palamu, Hussainabad, Daltonganj, Daltonganj and Panki assembly constituencies.
 
 
Film star Mithun Chakraborty will also address a rally in favour of BJP candidate Babulal Soren at Circus Maidan in the Mau Bhandar area under Ghatshila assembly constituency. Leaders of RJD, AJSU and left parties will also hold election meetings in different parts of the state.
