Jharkhand: Amit Shah addresses election rally in Jamtara

Union Home Minister and Senior BJP leader Amit Shah said that his party will honour and give justice to Sita Soren, daughter-in-law of JMM patriarch Shibu Soren. Mr. Shah alleged that Sita Soren was denied justice by JMM leader and former Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Sita Soren, widow of Durga Soren has been fielded by the BJP from Dumka Lok Sabha seat in Jharkhand.


Addressing an election rally in Jamtara on Friday, Shah, criticised Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress alliance and alleged that both parties are competing with each other in doing corruption. He said, BJP has worked toward development of the tribal community and Santhals in the state. He said Santhali language has been included in the 8th schedule of the constitution under BJP rule.
 
He also said that naxalism was flushed out from different areas of the state like Giridih and Budha Pahad under Narendra Modi-led BJP government at Centre. Alleging that cattle smuggling is on rise in the state, he assured that if BJP government comes to power in Jharkhand, legislation will be brought in which will completely stop cow smuggling.
 
He said, 11.65 lakh beneficiaries in the state have been given Ayushman Card, 4.60 lakh have received gas connections under Ujjwala Yojana; besides, 3.30 lakh households have been connected with Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Yojana. He said the budget allocated to tribal welfare department has been increased manifold to 1.25 lakh in 10 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
