JC Bose University students and staff take ‘voter oath’

The Students and staff of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, on Monday (8th April 2024) took a ‘Voter Oath’ to uphold the democratic traditions of the country and participate in the electoral process.

They also pledged to exercise their voting rights during the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 25th. The ‘Voter Oath’ programme was organized by the Nodal Officer Prof. Vasudev Malhotra in collaboration with the University’s Student Welfare Office and NSS Unit. During this event, more than 400 students and staff took the ‘voter oath’.

This ‘Voter Oath’ programme is part of the district election office’s initiative aimed at increasing voter turnout during the Lok Sabha elections. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. SK Tomar commended the initiative for electoral literacy, stating that it is commendable that the younger generation is aware of their rights and understands the importance of the right to vote.
