Major Asian indices ended mixed today. Japan’s Nikkei surged nearly two percent while Singapore’s Straits Times Index declined 0.1 percent. Meanwhile, markets in South Korea, Hong Kong and China were closed.

Major European Indices displayed mixed trends. France’s CAC 40 was trading nearly half per cent up, Germany’s DAX gained 0.3 per cent while London’s FTSE was trading nearly flat when reports last came in.
