In Uttar Pradesh, Janmashtami is being celebrated with religious fervour. Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Banke Bihari Temple in Mathura is celebrating Janmashtami today. For this, the entire Braj Mandal has been decorated with colorful lights. Major temples including Lord Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarikadhish Temple, Thakur Banke Bihari Temple, Akshaya Patra Radha Krishna Temple, Prem Mandir and ISKCON Temple are illuminated with colorful lights. Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.
