Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh has said that janbhagidari should be the focal point in the process of social audit. Speaking at the second national seminar on social audit of rural development programmes in New Delhi today, Mr. Singh said, social audit is the spine for all the central and state government schemes to maintain the financial discipline. He further added that the impact of social audit on the schemes should be assessed by all the concerned for availing the maximum benefit.
 
The theme of the national seminar was re-imagining social audit with a view to bring transparency and accountability.
