Nepal is all set to attract tourists for the year-end and New Year celebrations. The 18th edition of the elephant festival is scheduled from December 26 to December 30 in Sauraha to attract tourists, both domestic and international.
Elephant football, elephant polo, elephant fast walks, elephant beauty pageants, and picnics for elephants are a part of the festival. Baghmara Ground in Sauraha is the venue for the festival, which will have 50 stalls altogether relating to tourist stuff, several varieties of food, and handicraft items.
Targeting huge tourist inflow, the tourism capital of Nepal, Pokhara, is preparing itself for the balloon festival starting from December 24 till January 1, while the International Street Festival on the lakeside is going to take place from December 28 to January 1. From the past year’s record, during the New Year celebration, Pokhara remains bustling with tourists.
