In Jammu and Kashmir a mega voters awareness programme was today organized at Ancillary Medical Training School (ANMT) Doda under the aegis of  Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the awareness programme was aimed to raise awareness about voting-related activities and promote electoral literacy among citizens, especially first-time voters in run up to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Faizan Ali Tramboo highlighted the significance of inspiring people about active participation in democratic process. Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Doda, Dr. Om Kumar highlighted the significance of electoral literacy in empowering citizens and urged everyone, especially first-time voters, to exercise their franchise responsibly in the upcoming elections. Meanwhile, a pledge taking ceremony under SVEEP was also held to vote enthusiastically in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
