Jammu & Kashmir: 26 candidates file nomination papers for 5-Jammu Parliamentary Constituency 

In Jammu and Kashmir, as many as 26 candidates have filed their nomination papers for the 5-Jammu Parliamentary Constituency which is going to polls in the second phase on the 26th of April. The 5-Jammu-Reasi Parliamentary Constituency consists of three districts viz Jammu, Samba and Reasi with a total number of 17, 67, 837 voters out of which 9, 15, 010 are male and 8, 52, 796 are female and 18 transgenders. The Constituency has 2416 polling stations and 18 Assembly segments. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the candidates have filed their nomination papers in the office of Returning Officer (RO) 5-Jammu Parliamentary Constituency at Jammu. Today was the last date to file the nomination papers by the candidates in the office of the RO up to 3 PM.  The papers will be scrutinised on the 6th of April and the last date for the withdrawal of the candidature is the 8th of April. The Jammu Lok Sabha Constituency is one of the 88 segments across the country going to the polls in the second phase on the 26th of April.
