Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience widespread light rain and snow, accompanied by thunderstorms, starting tomorrow. According to the Meteorological Department, the wet spell is expected to continue for the next four days. Tomorrow, fairly widespread rain or snow is predicted in the Kashmir region, whilethe  Jammu division may see scattered showers. The minimum night temperature in Kashmir was 1-2 degrees Celsius below normal, while Jammu division remained mostly normal, except in Jammu city, where it was 3 degrees Celsius below normal. Heavy snowfall during the last week of February provided much-needed relief from prolonged dry conditions.
