In Jammu and Kashmir, the MeT department has forecasted generally cloudy conditions today, with light rain, thunder, and gusty winds likely at scattered places in the Kashmir region and isolated locations across the Jammu division, particularly during the afternoon hours today. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the weather department said a cloudy afternoon today with chances of light rain/thunder/gusty winds at scattered locations in Kashmir and isolated spots in Jammu. The MeT predicts generally dry weather from tomorrow to April 23 and brief thundershowers with thunder, gusty winds, and possible hailstorm at scattered places during the afternoon of April 24 to 25. The weather department said that from April 26 to 30, predominantly dry conditions across the region. No major weather disturbance is expected till the end of April, apart from light showers and isolated thundershowers on the afternoons of 21, 24, and 25 April. Residents and travellers are advised to plan accordingly and adhere to all administrative and traffic advisories. Farmers may resume farm operations from April 22 onwards. People are urged to stay indoors or in safe places during thunder, lightning, or gusty winds.
