In a developing situation, Israel is on high alert as it prepares for a possible large-scale attack from Iran and its proxies. This comes in the wake of the recent assassinations of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh and senior Hezbollah official Fuad Shukr.

Akashvani correspondent reports, Israeli intelligence sources suggest that a significant retaliatory strike could be imminent, potentially occurring within days. The attack is expected to be coordinated across multiple fronts, involving Iran’s various allied groups including Hezbollah, the Houthis, and militias in Syria and Iraq.

While the exact timing remains uncertain, analysts believe the attack may be launched after Haniyeh’s funeral in Qatar  today , possibly as soon as Saturday or early next week. In response to these threats, Israel has heightened its defensive posture and is also preparing offensive capabilities. Officials have stated that any significant attack will be met with a harsh response. The situation has drawn international attention, with the United States increasing its military presence in the region. A large-scale interception operation is being prepared in coordination with Israel and other allies.  

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions are underway. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani held discussions yesterday, addressing the “dangerous” escalation and exploring ways to reduce tensions in the region. The Jordanian FM also stated, “Anyone who wants to violate our airspace, we will confront that. Jordan will not be a battlefield; we are facing many consequences.
