In the IPL T20 cricket, Lucknow Super Giants will take on Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow at 3:30 PM today. Gujarat currently tops the points table with four wins from five matches, while Lucknow has lost just two out of their five games so far. In the second match of the day, Punjab Kings will face Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM. Hyderabad has managed to win only one match this season and is currently at the bottom of the table, while Punjab Kings sit in fifth place with six points.
Earlier yesterday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated hosts Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by eight wickets at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. After being sent in to bat first, the M.S. Dhoni-led CSK struggled against Kolkata’s disciplined bowling attack and managed to post just 103 for 9 in their 20 overs.
For Kolkata, spinner Sunil Narine took three wickets, while Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana picked up two wickets each. In response, Kolkata chased down the target comfortably, reaching 107 for 2 in just 10.1 overs. Narine starred with the bat as well, scoring a quickfire 44 off 18 balls. He was adjudged Player of the Match for his all-round performance.
