In Bihar, internet services have been suspended in the areas of Bagaha police district under West Champaran district following communal clashes between two groups. The clashes broke out on last Tuesday in Ratanmala locality when some anti social elements pelted stone on a religious procession. Several police personnel and journalists were injured during the incident.
The Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Dr. S. Siddharth said to stop the spread of rumours and fake news on various social media platforms the internet services will remain suspended till 2 PM today. The Bagaha police district is special administrative unit for maintenance of law and order under West Champaran district. District Magistrate of West Champaran Dinesh Kumar Rai said the situation is under control in the area.
