Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur today shared a sneak peek into the International Media Centre at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi ahead of G20 Summit. Sharing the video on social media, Mr Thakur said the International Media Centre is all set to welcome media persons from across the world for the G20 Summit. He added that the Media Centre has been planned and designed keeping in mind the requirements of the media persons. He also said that this centre with all the world-class facilities is worthy of admiration.
Akashvani correspondent reports that New Delhi is all set to host the 18th G20 Summit on the 9th and 10th of this month. The Media Centre has spacious halls, and nine work Zones named after rivers Godavari, Krishna, Yamuna, Brahmaputra, Narmada, Mahanadi, Kaveri and Indus. The Media Centre can seat 1,500 media personnel at a time. It also consists of state-of-the-art studios, four media briefing halls, six interview rooms, and over 1300 workstations, and open workspaces with high-speed internet. There are designated zones for Embassy and Press officials and foreign officials. There are two dedicated lounges, recreation zones, media booths, and Live Reporting Positions. Besides, there will also be a Help Desk and a Medical Room.
