Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) organised a one-day Workshop on the theme, Energizing Semiconductor Ecosystem to Make India Self-Reliant in IC Chip Manufacturing. In a press release on Friday, the Defense Ministry mentioned that the workshop provided a platform for brainstorming significant issues. Experts from various Departments of the Defense Ministry along with Electronics and Information Technology Ministry, Academia and Private Industries, discussed the theme. It highlighted that deliberations were held on India’s journey from Material to Device Fabrication and making India Self-Reliant in design, development and manufacturing of IC Chips for military applications.
