India’s success rate in rocket launches between 2017 to 2022 is nearly 90 percent: Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh replies in LS

Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that India’s success rate in rocket launches between 2017 to 2022 is nearly 90 percent. He said that this is comparable with the success rate of other Space-faring nations including the US, Russia, and China among others. In a written reply in Lok Sabha today, the Minister said that India conducted 52 launches in the last 10 years of which only three were failures. He also said that the Government has approved the Indian Space Policy -2023 and released it in the public domain. He said that the policy opens up the Space sector for enhanced participation of Non-Government Entities across the entire value chain of the Space economy. Dr. Singh mentioned that the Government has set up the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre as a single window agency for the promotion and authorization of Space activities.
