Union Minister for Communication Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the first chip made in India will be rolled out this year. Interacting with the IIT students at Chennai on Saturday, he said that four chips made in India will be rolled out in the next two years and India will be able to supply Made in India chips to Tesla Volkswagen and also to any part of the world. He told that five semi-conductors are under construction in India presently. Replying to a query by one of the students, he said that AI technology is very helpful in agriculture and also quoted a farmer in Maharashtra who was successful in implementing it. The Minister informed that the Government had allocated Rs 10,000 crore for development under AI vision.

He said that India is having strong talented young minds which is capable of developing data for all the fields. The Minister told that India will soon have technolegal regulations which will provide protection from deep fakes.
