In Hockey, Indian women’s team won the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation – International Tournament in Terrassa today, with a 3-0 victory over hosts Spain. Vandana Katariya in 22nd minute, Monika in 48th minute and Udita in 58th minute scored goals as the team remained undefeated in the tournament.
Earlier, India had defeated Commonwealth Games champions England 3-0 in its third match yesterday. Lalremsiami scored a hat-trick for India. With this win, India took the top spot in the standings, earning five points from three matches. England finished their campaign, with four points from four games. Hosts Spain came second, with four points.
