In Cricket, the Indian women’s team will take on South Africa women’s team in the third and final match of the ODI series at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, this afternoon. The women in Blue are aiming for a clean sweep in the series as the margin stands 2-nil in favour of India.

In the first match, India defeated South Africa by a huge margin of 143 runs, while in the second, the hosts won by a narrow margin of 4 runs in a closely contested battle. Vice Captain Smriti Mandhana made 117 and 136 in the two matches respectively, becoming the first Indian woman batter to achieve back-to-back centuries in ODIs. She also equalled Mithali Raj’s record of seven one-day centuries.

Alongside the three ODIs, the South African Women’s tour of India includes one Test match and three T20 internationals at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
