In women’s Cricket, the match between India and South Africa in the second of the three-match ODI series is underway at the M. Chinnaswami Stadium in Bengaluru. India scored 28 runs in 10 overs, a short while ago.

Earlier, South African skipper Laura Wolvaardt won the toss and opted to Bowl.

In the first match on Sunday, the Women in Blue defeated South Africa by a huge margin of 143 runs. Opener Smriti Mandhana’s maiden ODI century at home, and a commanding four-wicket haul from the debutant Asha Shobhana, propelled India to a commanding victory over the visitors. The third match of the series will be played on the 23rd of this month.

Alongside the three ODIs, the South African Women’s tour of India includes one Test match and three T20 internationals at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
