Indian tennis star Sumit Nagal has secured his spot in the men’s singles event at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics, marking his second appearance at this prestigious competition. Nagal, who previously competed at the Tokyo Games and reached the second round, will be joined by India’s men’s doubles pair, Rohan Bopanna and N Sriram Balaji. Bopanna, a seasoned top-10 player, selected Balaji as his partner, a decision endorsed by All India Tennis Association.

 

Nagal’s qualification was boosted significantly by his recent victory at the Heilbronn Challenger earlier this month. This season, Nagal has clinched two Challenger titles, including the Heilbronn Challenger and the Chennai Challenger.
